Fireworks (the good kind)

We have been speaking to a few architects/designers/draftsmen to get someone to draw up plans for our new house. We've eliminated 2 who didn't seem to understand that we don't want the same thing that has been done 1000s of times before. If that's what we wanted, we could have just bought it.

Now we need to decide if we want a post and beam house, or a steel frame house, or a more traditional house. And then we can decide who to draw it.

Stampede is on here in Calgary, which includes a fireworks display at the end of each day. Across the street from our dirt has a great view of the grounds, so MrDinks and I went down at 11 PM last night to watch the fireworks.

In case you haven't been reading the news, or are reading this sometime in the future and don't realize what year I am writing this in, Calgary has recently suffered severe flooding. The Saddledome, which is the building with the red lights in these photos, was filled with water up to the 8th or 10th row, depending on the source. Their electrical systems are damaged, which may be why the red lights are not currently on around the whole roof.
